CA Anti-Virus Plus CA Anti-Spyware 2008 lacks adequate technical support. It also attempts to download the Yahoo toolbar during installation.

I installed using all the defaults suggested. The antivirus was immediately disabled and now I am unable to uninstall and reinstall it. I went to their tech support website which is very easy to use but of no help. It also tried to uninstall its own...
nothing at all. did not protect my system. Unable to do anything with it. I have a piece of software taking up room on my computer that can only be removed if I pay a technician 80 dollars plus tax

On three different occasions, CA Anti-Virus let my computer get infected with as many as 93 viruses. CA couldn't detect the viruses, even one that showed up in my Task Manager. The first time I downloaded a FREE software which removed the viruses.
Nothing...nada...zip...zilch
Software allowed 93 viruses to infect my computer on three different occasions; everytime the software doesn't work, you have to pay more money to make it work; they have the most useless tech support team on the planet

It seemed to work well when it did work.
The program/suite will freeze Windows and you'll have to reformat your drive and reinstall Windows and all your programs.

Seemed to work fine. After a virus attack a year ago, the person who helped me uploaded CA Virus 2007. It worked fine. I was also never concerned. That is, I was never concerned until my 2007 version ran out, and I downloaded the 2008 version.
The next day, I received an expiration notice--2 of them. The next day,I get 2 more expiration notices, which became warnings. Mailed company. For short version, I have received zero help. I was double billed. Warnings still occur. gputnam@4aps.com
