Stable, Performs well, Reliable, Great Heatspreader

Pricey, Timing could be better

I’ve tested Super Talent memory in the past and been pleased. Their latest ProjectX DDR3 PC3-14400 Memory product is really fast memory with a decent timing of 7-7-7-21. Although this memory timing is still a slow when compared to DDR2, it’s great...

abit IP35 Pro "Off Limits" (Intel P35)

  by Zachary Chan (hardwarezone.com) - Nov, 2007

hardwarezone.com

The abit IP35 Pro was abit's top Intel motherboard before the arrival of the Intel X38 chipset, but with the IX38 QuadGT launched, is the board still a good choice for the power user? We took the IP35 Pro for our usual spin and found a solid performer...

Abit IP35 PRO P35 and AB9 QuadGT P965 Motherboards

  by Alex Evans (hothardware.com) - Jul, 2007

hothardware.com

It's been almost one year since Intel launched the 965 series of chipsets, which were originally designed to be packaged with Intel's Core 2 Duo series of processors. While the 965 series didn't perform quite as well as Intel's flagship 975x chipset in...

Exceptional Board Design / Layouts ; Silent Copper Cooling Systems ; Multi-GPU Support, Flexible Expansion Configurations ; Quad-Core, 1333 MHz FSB Support (w/ BIOS Update)

Underwhelming Overclocking Performance ; Memory Speeds Capped at 800 MHZ Officially ; Synchronous Front Side Bus Limits Higher Overclocking

Returning to the crux of the matter, which chipset is the better option today? After testing nearly identical platforms based on the new Intel P35 Express and the nicely aged Intel P965 chipset, we would definitely opt for the P35 Express. While the...

abit IP35 Pro Mainboard Review

  by Doors4ever (xbitlabs.com) - Jul, 2007

xbitlabs.com

We have just finished testing a new abit mainboard that made a great impression. Looks like the well-known company is really coming back: its mainboard on Intel P35 Express chipset makes us believe that the times when abit was the best choice for...

A few days of testing, even though it is pretty indepth, cannot reveal all the highs and lows of a product with 100% certainty. Only continuous use of a platform for a long time can show a real picture. Over the past year that Intel Core 2 Duo...

Award: OCC GOLD

Are you ready to take a "Ride on the Wild Side"? Thats what Abit would like you to do with this board. Abit has created a trilogy of P35 chipset motherboards with this model, The IP35 Pro being the enthusiast level board. Since this motherboard is at...

Overclocking ability ; Feature set ; Stability ; Performance Value ; Ease of setup

Unable to run SLI

After testing the first two boards in the companies trilogy, I was left wanting something more. Were they stable? Yes they were. Did they perform? Yes they did. As an enthusiast I was hoping for the most from all three of the boards. At stock settings...

Abit IP35 Pro (P35) Motherboard

  by (cpu3d.com)

Opting to stay with DDR2, the Abit IP35 Pro motherboard could appeal to the mainstream users. It uses Intel's P35 (Bearlake) chipset, it's Quad Core ready and supports 1333FSB as well as DDR2 ram. Our CPU3D review team takes a look at this motherboard...

If you're after good performance at default speeds using DDR2 ram, you might find the Abit IP35 Pro worth considering.

Abit IP35 Pro Motherboard Review

Award: RECOMMENDED

Sometimes you need a computer that's a good performer while being easy on the wallet. The Abit IP35 Pro motherboard lives up to that simpler standard. Based on the Intel P35 chipset, intended for Intel Core 2 Duo and Quad Core processors and running...

I can honestly say that I'm more than a little surprised. The Abit IP35 Pro was that proverbial wolf in sheep's clothing. Its minimalist nature is quite apparent, as is its rather impressive performance benefits. I still can't help but feel however...

Abit IP35 Pro

Can the Pro version of Abit's IP35 do enough to please the enthusiasts?

The IP35 Pro is a superb P35 motherboard that has all the features that you need at a reasonable price. However, we found it didn't overclock as much as we would have liked.

THIS BOARD IS SO AMAZING!!!! Handles all my needs... the sata ports aren't a problem what so ever in my mid tower case...... but yea you CANNOT SLI WHAT SO EVER SO DONT BE A MORON AND TRY IT!!!...I am not a moron and I DID NOT TRY IT! I have awaited...

THIS board is so amazing..... I mean I installed a 8800GT dual slot on this mother with 4 gigs of ram..... And It is just simply amazing how well this board worked.... It was my first build and was a little tough read below

Idk if it was just me....but the IP35 pro has the USB ports set to DEFAULT to run off the operating system....which sucked to figure out because as it was my first build and my friends who built computers didnt know jack, I had to sit on HOLD from abit...

Good luck with setting this board up. This motherboard took me about 10-12 hours to get the bios and everything working properly.

This board has an onboard diagnostics panel

I would definitely consider a different board if you are using SATA drives, or want to have easy access to the PATA area. This board has some of the worst designs ever. I would never buy from Abit again. If you are using a GeForce 8 series graphics...

Great Board!!!

  by loonym (newegg.com) - Apr, 2008

newegg.com

Bought as open box for $107. Package was complete with all accessories, manuals, and cds. Did an open bench test setup for a couple days and it was flawless. Thanks Newegg (and OCZ) loonym

Straight forward bios eliminates guess work. Easy overclocker. Runs well with any ram I've tried. Excellent stability

PWM temp initially got very hot. Once I removed the chipset sinks and the rubber pad on the mosfets and put AS ceramique on everything all is well. Not a bad idea to have a small fan blowing on pwm/nb area

Newegg Rocks!

I was a bit hesitant to come back to abit, but Newegg's one day sale could not be passed up for this board. New PC build booted on the first try ; I am runing a E8400 at 424X9 with zero problems! Used uguru and set everything to the "turbo" settings...

45nm, be sure to upgrade the bios!

  by N/A (newegg.com) - Apr, 2008

newegg.com

If your using this with a 45nm chip it will boot just fine. However some of the reading will be wrong so be sure to upgrade from Bios R14 to R16 and everything is golden after words. Would I recommend this board to a friend, you bet! Would I buy it...

This is a great board for the money. Yes you can drop 2x as much and perhaps get something a little better but at its price point the IP35 Pro is a champ! All the features you want and capable of very good overclocks

Umm, had some trouble getting it up past 500fsb with my Q9450. Can't fully blame that on the board though. Its a great product really

IP35-PRO

  by Serj (newegg.com) - Apr, 2008

newegg.com

I would recommend this board if the price is right since the x38 version was about the same price as the p35 i would go with that with dual gpu option and better compatibility with the 45nm, but still this is a great mobo.

This mobo looks great (heatpipe and placement), works great, good overclockability, easy to understand bios, plug n'play, love the sata placement which works great in my case (no cables under the gpu fan)

Only problem is the 45nm temp issue which i think was corrected with the newest bios update, but i didnt have the time to test yet. Since the mobo works fine, Im ok with it and I am not trying to push the processor to the limits yet, i have my e8400...

Buggy BIOS?

  by Kaboom-boom-boom (newegg.com) - Apr, 2008

newegg.com

I hope they'll eventually come up with more robust BIOS.

Had all features I wanted (incl. RAID option, even if a fake one), priced right (after $70 rebate...), looks nice with all those shiny copper thingys. :-P

Weird glitches that I tend to think are caused by unstable BIOS ; 1. Devices disappear and reappear on boot-up screen. Once you see the HDD, the next time you boot - you don't ; 2. Recognizes my Optiarc DVDRW by name on the bootup screen yet no such...

Great midlevel choice

  by BASMAN (newegg.com) - Apr, 2008

newegg.com

There was a bug in the BIOS that appeared when Wolfdale chips came to market. The BIOS reported wildly incorrect temps. BIOS rev 16 solved these problems. This is my first ABIT board (I've owned many Asus boards), but I'm well pleased with it and have...

Solid well designed product. Superior motherboard layout, intelligently designed with the right set of components to build a very fast system. Love the diagnostic readouts on the board for troubleshooting, the reset switch outside the case, and the mix...

This board tops out at 1333, is a DDR2 board (which might be an advantage for some), and will not take Nahelem chips when they get here as they require a different package and DDR3. It is not the absolutely fastest board that you can buy
